Job Title: Field Technician

Reports To: Production Manager

Hours: Full Time

Primary Purpose:
As our representatives in the field this position will often be the face of GCS to our clients. GCS specializes in commercial and residential remodeling and restoration. Our projects include custom remodeling jobs as well as fire, flood, wind restoration, mold remediation and roofing. The primary purpose of this position is to assist the project managers as our main goal is to bring relief and a sense of pride to our customer’s through quality, efficiency, honesty and the knowledge in which your work is performed.

Major Responsibilities and Duties:
• It is your responsibility to be at work on time and prepared to work when scheduled. There are times when our meeting arrangements will change based on when or where our projects are located. There is no tolerance for tardiness or your failure to be at work without valid reason.
• Most work performed is labor oriented. The ability to bend, squat crawl, climb and reach to perform your work will be necessary.
• Proper understanding and safe use of handheld power tools is expected.
• Green Construction provides all the tools and equipment necessary to complete any task that is required. We require that each employee provide and maintain their own hand tools.
• The ability to read and follow a detailed scope of work
• The ability to understand and follow a basic set of blue prints
• Utilize the project management tools Slack and Buildertrend by uploading pictures and documenting projects as required.
• Willingness to perform tasks on all different kinds of projects such as; fire restoration, mold remediation, water mitigation and custom remodeling.

Job Title: Senior Project Manager

Reports to: Production Manager

Position Summary / Purpose
Create high levels of customer satisfaction by exceeding customer expectations and fulfilling the company’s contractual obligations through the timely and profitable delivery of our restoration and remodeling services. Exceed established standards of production performance through continuous process improvement and training, and development of production staff. Our main goal is to bring peace of mind and a sense of relief to our clients through high levels of performance and genuine care for our clients.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities
• Exceed department targets for quality ratings and customer satisfaction
• Meet or exceed division targets for project profitability
• Maintain market leadership through continuous implementation of technology as it pertains to the delivery of restoration services.
• Coordinate / assist Project Coordinators with scheduling of field techs
• Responsible in scheduling jobs and oversee project efficiency
• Create work orders
• Maintain timely and accurate flow of production reporting from field operations to administration.
• Review job estimates
• Assist in interviewing, hiring, training, and discharging field technicians
• Monitor production efficiencies and labor hours
• Review job costing on completed work

Additional Duties and Responsibilities
• Attend and assist in conducting department meetings
• Communicate with customers and conduct in-home inspections as needed
• Attend trade seminars and workshops

Working Relationships and Scope
• Coordinate closely with other Project Managers on schedules, manpower, and project profitability
• Work with Estimators to review and oversee job estimates
• Work with Production Manager in hiring, training, and discharge of restoration division personnel

Qualifications-Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Education and Experience
High school diploma (or GED), plus four (4) to five (5) years of experience in cleaning / restoration industry or associate (2-year) degree in business-related field and a minimum of three (3) years of experience in the restoration industry. Team leader or supervisory responsibility experience preferred.
• Financial Reports and Budgeting
Basic understanding of financial reports: Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and budgeting. Ability to review completed job costing, assess performance, and identify areas for improvement.
• Technical Skills
Advanced technical skills, experience and certification in the restoration services the company provides.
• Mathematical Skills
Adequate math skills. Able to quickly and effectively translate remaining work into manpower planning, project completion times, and review and assess labor time reporting. Effectively project job costs based on work remaining.
• Computer Skills
Demonstrates intermediate to advanced proficiency in the use of computers and computer software, especially MS Word and Excel. Experience with Xactimate software is a plus.

• The work of this position is predominantly carried out in an office, shop or job site environment. Daily exposure to the shop where vehicles and equipment are housed and maintained is expected. Employee will encounter facilities where standing water and sewage are present, heat is unavailable due to lack of utilities, fire damage has occurred, and mold or other organic growth exists.
• Noise level in the work environment is moderate to high

Job Title: Roofing Superintendent

Reports to: Roofing Project Coordinator Hours: Full Time

Primary Purpose:
Green Construction Services specializes in commercial and residential insurance restoration & roofing. Our projects include fire, flood, storm & mold remediation, roofing & custom remodeling projects. The primary purpose of this position is to assist the production team with our roofing projects from permitting to completion.

Position Overview
A roofing superintendent is responsible for delivering and returning material, checking job sites for cleanliness and that all work is being completed per the approved specs and per GCS expectations, and meeting with customers and trade partners as needed. They should have a working knowledge of what it looks like to instill confidence & peace of mind to all our clients and to keep this mission at the forefront of your mind.

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

• Deliver materials to jobsites, including shingles, plywood, drip edge, etc.
• Pick up and return left over materials following completion
• Utilize the project management tools Slack and Builder trend to upload pictures and document projects as required.
• Inspect job sites for progress and cleanliness
• Meet with clients to obtain NOC’s, COS’s. collect payments, and answer questions as needed
• Deliver documents to municipalities as needed to aid in obtaining permits
• Willingness to perform tasks on all different kinds of projects such as; fire restoration, mold remediation, water mitigation and custom remodeling.
• Willingness to be adaptable and learn a specialized industry
• Willingness to help with mitigation projects when needed and rotate through the on-call schedule

Overall View:

A construction superintendent is a person who plans and ensures the coordination of construction projects. He/She has the responsibility of supervising the overall construction project(s). He/She ensures that the quality of work and materials is upheld, and working along with the project manager, that the budget is followed as planned. He/She is entitled with the total supervision of all the operations on site. He/She ensures that the workers are implementing what is on the design plan. He/She monitors the workers and the progress of the project and reports to the project manager as well as directly to the homeowner. He/She is held liable of any happenings at the construction site and see to it that the project is completed on time and that the laid down standards are met.

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

• Being onsite to oversee the construction process.
• Ensuring that the budget is followed in terms of purchases and wages.
• Organizing the workers and ensuring that they are performing as required.
• General inspection of the workers and their performance and safety.
• Works with government inspectors on the standard requirements of the site and regulations.
• Follows the project construction process to ensure that it is completed on time.
• Supervises the trade partners and ensures that they are punctual and that they deliver a quality product.
• Uploads daily project updates and photos in company software on every job being supervised.
• Identifies and solves problems that may arise onsite.
• Orders materials and schedules inspections as necessary throughout the process.
• Prepares, schedules, and supervises completion of final tie down list.
• Gets a COS signed on completion of every project.
